I know this blog is supposed to be about being a Christian wife and mother HOWEVER I am also obedient to my Lord. I write what He places on my heart to share. I pray this blesses you as much as it did me to write.

I tend to find myself looking at the Israelites a lot in the Bible, frankly I believe so much can be learned from them. When the Israelites were delivered from Egypt, God placed them in situations to establish a relationship with them. God showed them how mighty and powerful he is but most importantly he showed them his love and faithfulness. One of my favorite examples is when God lead the Israelites out of Egypt they were trapped in a moment of despair at the Red Sea, they complained and some even wished to go back into bondage (can you believe that). They had a body of water in front of them and an enemy army closing in on them from behind. At that moment they had to make a decision. Exodus 14:13-14 says Moses answered the people, “Do not be afraid. Stand firm and you will see the deliverance the Lord will bring you today. The Egyptians you see today you will never see again. The Lord will fight for you; you need only to be still.” The Israelites would see the deliverance God would bring them in their moment of despair, if only they trusted God. God parted the sea and allowed the Israelites to cross safely.

Israel had to stand still and trust that God would deliver them to all he has promised. They were required to allow him to be their guide. Listen, if God can split a whole body of water to save his children.  Do you know what he can do for you if you let him? God had bigger and better things on the other side of that sea and in order for them to possess them the Israelites had to trust in Him. They had to wait until He said go. Are you at your Red Sea? Do you believe God will part the waters and usher you into safety, into what he has promised you? We must always remember God is able and he will always supply. Continue to build a relationship with Him. If you don’t have a relationship with Him then start one. I encourage you to get to know my God, He is awesome!

God may sometimes require us to be still and know that he is God. We have to remain still and firm to let him work things out in our favor. It’s not easy but remember to always remain focused on God no matter what situations we are placed in. Somethings may not be how one has envisioned them to be but have faith that this is all in God’s plan and God has bigger plans for us all that no one can even imagine. You can always look at the Israelites, God had so many wonderful things in store for them once he delivered them from bondage.

Someone else needs to know that if we stand firm He will supply. To God be the glory!
